The pain is caused by inflammation due to the injury and it may last several months. When the scar hardens, the injury heals.

You can be treated by being injected with drugs into your penis to check the angle of erection. Sometimes, the doctor can request you to take a photo of your penile erection. An ultrasound test on the penis can also be done to reveal the extent of the scar tissue.
